2. The short version

This site does not use analytics, advertising, tracking or social media plugins, and it sets no cookies. Nothing is embedded from third parties: fonts, images and audio files are all hosted on this server. Videos and streaming services are plain links that only take you to YouTube, Bandcamp, Spotify and so on when you click them. If you use the contact form or write an email, we receive what you send us.

3. Hosting and server log files

This site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you visit the site, the server automatically records technical information your browser sends: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system.

This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, working website). Log files are deleted after 7 days unless they are needed to investigate a security incident. A data processing agreement with the host is in place.

4. Contact form, email and CD orders

If you use the contact form, it sends us your name, your email address and your message by email. The form is not stored on the website. If you write to us by email or order a CD, we receive your email address, your message and, for orders, your postal address. We use this information only to reply and to handle your enquiry or order. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR for orders, otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless statutory retention periods apply.

5. Audio player

The audio player loads the music only from this server. No data is passed to third parties, and no cookies or local storage are used.

6. Links to other websites

This site links to YouTube, YouTube Music, Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple Music and the websites of magazines. Video previews are still images hosted on this server; no video or player from these services is embedded. No data is sent to them until you click a link. After that, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies.

7. Encryption

This site uses TLS encryption (recognizable by “https” in the address bar).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure and restriction of processing of your personal data (Art. 15–18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise them, email mail@ear-theband.com.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin.
